H & M: 11% jump in sales in April

The Swedish clothing giant Hennes & Mauritz (H & M) announced Monday a 11% increase in sales on a comparable basis in April, boosted by the Easter holidays and good weather.

H & M also shows a jump of 21% of its total sales in local currencies, compared to April 2010.

Since the beginning of the year, sales of the Swedish brand tended to move in a range between a decline of 5% and an increase of 1% on a comparable basis.

In late April, H & M had a total of 2,264 stores in 2037 against a year earlier.
